October 28,<\/strong> Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The National Bank of Belarus has announced a reduction in the estimated values of standard risk (EVSR) in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interest rates on new deposits and loans that exceed the EVSR indicate a higher level of risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Bank of Belarus calculates the EVSRs at least once every three months based on the average interest rates set by seven major banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Bank has reduced the EVSR for new loans to companies in Belarusian rubels to 11.39 from 11.79 percent. The rate for individuals has been cut to 16.94 from 17.65 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EVSR for new irrevocable rubel deposits for individuals with repayment periods of one to three years has been lowered from 12.6 to 12.17 percent. For new irrevocable rubel deposits with repayment periods of more than three years, the rate has decreased from 14.5 to 14.33 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EVSR for new investment loans has been cut from 10.45 to 10.07 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EVSRs were introduced in 2019 as part of a set of macroprudential measures aimed at limiting systemic risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
