October 26, Pozirk. About 150,000 Belarusian tourists visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) every year, Ihar Biełyj, Belarusian ambassador to the UAE, told the state-run Belarus 1 TV.

“Our people, Belarusians, really love the Emirates,” he noted.

Biełyj’s estimates contrast with the official data from the National Statistical Committee (Biełstat), which said 78,100 Belarusian tourists visited the UAE in 2025.

Commenting on the Days of Belarusian Culture held in the UAE last week, the diplomat called for efforts to attract more tourists from the UAE to Belarus. “I hope that in the very near future we will see specific steps and tangible results from our work,” Biełyj said.

In late May, Belarus’ flagship carrier Biełavija resumed regular flights to Dubai after suspending air passenger service for several weeks over a lack of necessary permits.

Belarusian exports to the UAE have soared 62 times since 2021, with investments quadrupling, according to earlier Pozirk’s analysis of publicly available data from 2021 and recent reports. Over the past few years, Minsk has also intensified military cooperation with the UAE.
