The Homiel region posted economic growth by 1.3 percent; Hrodna region, by 1.1 percent; Mahilo\u016d region, by 1 percent; and the Viciebsk region by 0.3 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarus\u2019 economy grew by 2 percent in the first nine months of 2026 after a 1.9-percent increase reported in January-August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GDP shrank by 1.2 percent in January, remained down 1.2 percent in the first two months and was 0.4 percent lower in the first quarter. Over the past five months, Belarus\u2019 economy posted growth, with 0.2 percent in January-April, 0.9 percent in January-May, 1.5 percent in the first half of 2026 and 2.1 percent in January-July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government expects GDP to grow by 2.8 percent this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 19, Pozirk.
