{"id":207047,"date":"2026-10-12T12:27:35","date_gmt":"2026-10-12T09:27:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/207047\/"},"modified":"2026-10-12T12:27:37","modified_gmt":"2026-10-12T09:27:37","slug":"russian-court-keeps-in-custody-belarusian-accused-of-plotting-to-kill-soldier","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/207047\/","title":{"rendered":"Russian court keeps in custody Belarusian accused of plotting to kill soldier"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>October 12, <em>Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Belarusian Andrej Saka\u0142o\u016dski-Stankievi\u010d, accused of attempted murder of a Russian soldier in Khanty-Mansiysk, will remain in custody, Russia\u2019s <em>TASS<\/em> reported, citing the ruling by the Military Court of Appeals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The judge rejected an appeal by the Belarusian man and two other defendants, Svetlana Sidoruk and Roman Bunich, citizens of Russia and Moldova, respectively, against the ruling of the Central District Military Court to extend their pretrial detention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspects allegedly plotted to murder a Russian serviceman from a volunteer battalion in Khanty-Mansiysk in April 2025 on orders from Ukrainian special services, investigators said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the defendants allegedly transported components of a homemade explosive device, concealed in a cordless screwdriver and a scented candle, in his minivan via Poland, Lithuania and Belarus. The group then assembled the bomb in a rented apartment in Khanty-Mansiysk. It accidentally detonated on April 12, 2025, destroying two apartments and injuring five people, including two suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Russian authorities filed criminal charges, including preparation for a terrorist act, attempted murder and intentional property damage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 12, Pozirk.
