October 11, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Some 4.045 million women over the age of 18 lived in Belarus as of January 1, the National Statistical Committee (Bie\u0142stat) said in a report ahead of the Mother\u2019s Day, observed in the country on October 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their number decreased by 14,800 in three years.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women make up 55.1 percent of all adult Belarusian citizens (55.1 percent in 2023; 53.8 percent in 2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The number of women of reproductive age (15\u201349 years) fell by 2.2 percent or 45,000 in the three years to January 1. Bie\u0142stat\u2019s report put their number at 2.088,900 for January 1, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were 2.13 million and 2.15 million at the beginning of 2023 and 2022, respectively, according to earlier reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, Bie\u0142stat reported that 54,257 were born in the country in 2025, down from 101,144 born in 1995.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
