October 8, Pozirk. At least four incursions by jet-powered drones into Belarusian territory have been recorded since October 4, Flagstok says, citing Ukrainian monitoring data.

One of the drones that entered Belarusian airspace on October 4 and 5 flew toward Mazyr in the Homiel region, while another crossed the region en route to Chornobyl in Ukraine. A similar incident occurred over the Homiel region early this morning.

Last month, Flagshtok noted a significant increase in airspace violations by Russian attack drones, with at least 21 stray drones sighted in the Homiel region, up from seven in August. On August 18, a drone reportedly crashed and exploded near the Belarusian Steel Works in Žłobin in the Homiel region.

Belarusian authorities regularly test the public warning system, particularly in the southern part of the country, which faces frequent incursions by Russian drones targeting Ukraine.

In February 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Minsk supported the Kremlin by allowing Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarusian territory on multiple occasions and by supplying arms to Moscow.
