Kučynski noted that many exiled Belarusians cannot safely return to Belarus to renew their identity documents. He urged Spain to waive the requirement for certificates issued by Belarusian authorities for legalization and called for more flexible and secure solutions.

The sides also discussed parliamentary cooperation. Kučynski proposed developing direct ties and establishing a Friends of Democratic Belarus group in the Spanish Chamber of Deputies, similar to the group already operating in the Senate.

The Spanish ambassador to Lithuania, who also attended the meeting, reportedly said that Spain would make a second contribution to the International Humanitarian Fund that supports Belarusian reprisal victims.
