September 25, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> As many as 1,707 economic entities operated at a loss in Belarus in January-July, or 26.2 percent more than in the same period of the previous year, according to the National Statistics Committee\u2019s (Bie\u0142stat) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their net losses, however, decreased by 3.6 percent to 3.7 billion rubels ($1.2 billion).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aggregate bank debt of Belarus\u2019 economic entities increased by 12.6 percent year-on-year to 68.9 billion rubels ($22.8), with overdue debt rising by 50 percent to 386.3 million rubels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judging by Bie\u0142stat\u2019s data, 20.2 percent of Belarus\u2019 economic entities, excluding small businesses, were unprofitable in the first seven months of 2026, or 4.2 percentage points more than in the same period of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The profitability of sales reportedly declined by 1.4 percentage point to 6.7 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
