September 17, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The Coalition of \u0141atu\u0161ka and Movement for Freedom, the largest political group within the opposition Coordination Council, has nominated volunteer coordinator Vieranika Stankievi\u010d for the position of the United Transitional Cabinet\u2019s social policy chief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to its Telegram channel, the political group plans to put its proposal to a vote at the Coordination Council\u2019s next general meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The previous social policy chief, Volha Zazulinskaja, currently heads Belarusian pro-democracy forces\u2019 office in Kyiv. Civil society activist Julija Mickievi\u010d deputizes for her after her departure on August 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 30-year-old Stankievi\u010d is a coordinator for Volnyaja, a volunteer network that supports victims of politically-motivated persecution in Belarus. This past April, the Committee for State Security (KGB) designated the initiative as an \u201cextremist group.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
