September 14, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Belarusian Defense Minister Viktar Chrenin has departed for a working visit to China to take part in the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum in Beijing, the ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the sidelines of the forum, Chrenin is scheduled to meet with counterparts from China, Azerbaijan and other countries. Under discussion will be the \u201cstate and prospects of bilateral military cooperation, as well as current issues on the regional and international agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The annual forum will be held in Beijing between September 15 and September 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chrenin last visited China in June 2025, taking part in a meeting of \u0435\u0440\u0443 defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization\u2019s member states. He also traveled to China in October 2023 for a similar forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 10, the Belarusian defense ministry reported that special operations units had left for China\u2019s Hubei province to take part in a two-week urban warfare exercise called Swift Eagle 2026,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The maneuvers were to take place at a paratrooper training ground from August 11 to 25, with participants practicing parachute landings, drone operation, counter-drone warfare, drone assembly, marksmanship and urban and industrial climbing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
