September 9, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Belarus\u2019 refineries have profited from Russia\u2019s fuel shortages, said Ilja Ikan, CEO of the Bie\u0142naftachim petrochemical monopoly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis was one of the best results [highest profits] arguably in the last decade,\u201d he told Vestnik Belneftekhima<\/em>, the corporation\u2019s periodical, noting that the country\u2019s two refineries considerably increased production in June and July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this month, D\u017amitryj Krutoj, head of Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s Presidential Administration, said that there is strong demand in Russia\u2019s Far East for Belarusian motor fuel and machinery running on natural gas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Krutoj noted that fuel shortages are pushing mining companies, transport operators and municipal services to adopt gas\u2011powered versions of vehicles made by Belarusian companies MAZ, BelAZ and MTZ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus\u2019 exports of gasoline and diesel fuel to Russia have surged in 2026, according to Reuters<\/em>, following months of relentless attacks on Russian oil refineries by Ukrainian drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus\u2019 gasoline exports to Russia by rail rose by 13 percent in July from 212,000 tons in June, while diesel deliveries doubled to 162,000 tons, Reuters<\/em> said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, gasoline shipments by rail from Belarus to Russia in the first seven months of the year surged 25-fold from the same period of 2025 to nearly 665,000 tons, while diesel deliveries increased almost sevenfold to 418,000 tons, the report said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Reuters, Russian gasoline output fell early in July to a level equivalent to only around 65 percent of the seasonal average consumption, while diesel production dropped to roughly the level of domestic demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
