September 3, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Crews operating unmanned aerial systems will take part in the Collective Security Treaty Organization\u2019s (CSTO) Unbreakable Brotherhood-2026 drill, scheduled for mid-October in Belarus, CSTO Joint Chief of Staff Andrei Serdyukov has told journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u0141a\u015bvida training ground near Viciebsk in northern Belarus, home to the 103rd Separate Guards Airborne Brigade, will host the drill designed to train the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces in conducting a peacekeeping operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exercise will also involve units of combat and transport aviation, engineering troops, a special-purpose medical detachment, a rescuer squad, as well as internal troops and special police forces, the Belarusian defense ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CSTO’s Barrier-2026 drill scheduled for the same period will focus on measures to neutralize biological threats, Serdyukov said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CSTO is a military-political alliance whose declared goals are strengthening international and regional security and safeguarding member states\u2019 independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty. It consists of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. The CSTO failed, however, to intervene when Azerbaijan captured Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yerevan suspended its participation in CSTO, accusing its individual members of \u201cplanning a war\u201d against Armenia together with Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
