August 7, <\/strong>Pozirk<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong>. <\/strong>A Belarusian-Chinese counter-terrorism drill for airborne troops will take place in China\u2019s Hubei Province between August 11 and August 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will be honing skills needed for conducting reconnaissance, seizing and holding positions, clearing terrain, and preparing for defense, reported the press office of the Belarusian defense ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-week exercise, \u201cSwift Eagle 2026,\u201d is aimed at increasing combat readiness and deepening practical cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries, the ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of July, a visiting Chinese military delegation met with Belarusian military officials to discuss measures to counter cyberattacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alaksandar Luka\u0161enka last visited China at the end of June. At his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on June 29, he called for strengthening bilateral ties and noted that Belarus uses Chinese technologies across the board in its economy and is satisfied with their quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
