August 6, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The Council of Ministers abolished export duties on light hydrocarbon gases starting on August 1 by its Directive No. 398 published on the National Legal Internet Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On April 13, the government lifted the zero rate on these gases, which had been in effect for 10 months. On that day, tariffs on liquefied hydrocarbon gases were set at $5.2 per metric ton; for ethane, butane, and isobutane, the rate was $4.6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rates have since been revised four times. On May 7, they jumped more than 25-fold to $131.60 and $118.40 per metric ton, respectively, after a sharp rise in oil and gas prices amid the war in the Middle East. On June 10, they were reduced slightly, while another revision took effect on July 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
