The outcome of the hearing is unknown. In June, Pie\u0142ahieja Korsaka\u016d, who is based in Ukraine, was tried in her absence, and sentenced to 11 years in prison, while her detained parents, D\u017amitryj and Ta\u0107ciana, received prison terms of 14 and 12 years, respectively, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A judge at the Minsk City Court started hearing a criminal case against exiled Belarusian rock star Siarhiej Micha\u0142ok (Siarhei Mikhalok) without the defendant being present. Micha\u0142ok, an outspoken supporter of Ukraine and critic of Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka, is accused of \u201cinsulting the president\u201d and inciting hatred, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Civil society activity Andrej Stry\u017eak, a former head of solidary foundation BySol, reported an attempt to hack his Telegram account through a phishing message.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Belarusian authorities forcibly removed 192 people, including 14 journalists, from the country last year following talks between Minsk and Washington, the Belarusian Association of Journalists said in a report, arguing that the practice amounted to kidnapping under Belarusian regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recruitment attempts have become an instrument of pressure on exiled Belarusians. State security agencies contact Belarusians living abroad, using their parents\u2019 phones and referring to their relatives, and demand cooperation, <em>Mediazona<\/em> reported.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prosecutors in the Brest region identified 117 accounts and websites that allegedly spread content aimed at \u201cincreasing social tension\u201d and undermining trust in the authorities, the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office reported.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The number of documented political prisoners in Belarus remained unchanged at 863, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.
