July 24, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Belarus\u2019 defense ministry has set up a commission to investigate an incident in which a military truck overturned near Asipovi\u010dy, Mahilo\u016d region, this morning, killing two soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister Viktar Chrenin has appointed Leanid Kasinski, head of the ministry\u2019s ideology department, to chair the commission and will personally oversee its work, the ministry said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two soldiers, aged 21 and 26, were killed after the 20-year-old driver of the MAZ truck lost control of the vehicle on a bend along the Asipovi\u010dy-Baranavi\u010dy highway at about 8 a. m., the Investigative Committee said. The victims have been identified as Junior Sergeant A.B. \u0160abunievi\u010d, a contract soldier, and K.A. Kiba, a private doing compulsory military service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fourteen servicemen were reportedly hospitalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Criminal proceedings have been instituted in connection with the incident under Part Three of the Criminal Code\u2019s Article 464, which penalizes dangerous driving resulting in the death of two persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
