July 9, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Belarus exported 453,000 tons of gasoline and 256,000 tons of diesel fuel to Russia in the first six months of 2026, increasing the gasoline exports 20 times and the diesel export five times on the same period of the previous year, according to Reuters<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the agency, in June, Belarusian oil refineries supplied over 181,000 tons of gasoline to Russia by rail, which was more than a threefold increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier Russia\u2019s Vedomosti<\/em> reported that Belarus had more than doubled its gasoline exports to Russia in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus supplied 141,000 tons of gasoline to Russia between June 1 and June 25, or 140 percent more than in May, Vedomosti<\/em> said, citing data from Russia\u2019s Price Index Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian supplies can help alleviate fuel shortages but cannot fully eliminate them, experts said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus can export between 1.8 million and two million tons of gasoline a year, or 150,000\u2013170,000 tons a month, whereas Russia consumes at least 110,000 tons a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russia is facing fuel shortages amid Ukraine\u2019s ongoing air strikes on its oil refineries.  U\u0142adzimier Siza\u016d, deputy head of Belarus\u2019 state petrochemical monopoly Bie\u0142naftachim, denied rumors that Russians are flocking to filling stations in Belarus to refill their vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned Belarus against supplying fuel to Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
