July 7, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Territorial forces from the Brest region’s Ma\u0142aryta and Drahi\u010dyn districts have launched scheduled training that is expected to conclude on July 31, the defense ministry\u2019s press office reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both districts border Ukraine\u2019s Volyn region and are located in close proximity to the Polish border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drills will focus on territorial defense tasks under martial law, including protecting personnel and facilities from unmanned aerial vehicles, the ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Command staff will rehearse command and control procedures, while conscripts will train for their assigned duties and practice the formation, training and deployment of people’s militia units, it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian army is regularly conducting drills amid tensions with the West and Russia\u2019s full-scale war against Ukraine, in which Minsk supports Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
