June 28, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has embarked on a tour of East and Southeast Asia following two days of informal talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is expected to visit three countries, his press office said, without specifying the destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the statement, the region is among Belarus\u2019 foreign policy priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D\u017amitryj Krutoj, head of \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s administration, told news.by<\/em> that the tour had been in preparation for months. He said the head of state intends to discuss presidential-level projects worth tens of millions of US dollars. He also urged the media not to sensationalize the visit. However, he declined to reveal which countries \u0141uka\u0161enka plans to visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Information about \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s meeting with Putin has been scarce, with official reports largely limited to general statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Putin\u2019s press office briefly reported that the \u201cheads of state discussed the agenda of the Union State, trade and economic cooperation, the implementation of joint economic projects, as well as issues relating to regional security.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
