June 17, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The Minsk-based Bronya.by has presented a child-sized anti-shrapnel vest and poncho in two designs at a security exhibition in Belarus, Russia’s TASS<\/em> reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The equipment is used to evacuate children from areas of active hostilities and provide at least minimal protection against shrapnel, as shrapnel wounds and drone strikes are currently the main threats, a company representative said. Each item weighs about 3 kilograms and is designed to resemble ordinary children\u2019s clothing with printed patterns, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vest and poncho \u201cfrom aramid fabric with Br2 protection class,\u201d are reportedly sent as humanitarian aid to Russia’s Belgorod, which has served as a base for Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine since February 2022, making it a target for Ukrainian counterattacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2022, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine in which the Belarusian authorities supported the Kremlin, allowing Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarus on multiple occasions and supplying arms to Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
