June 17, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has denied Ukrainian forces\u2019 involvement in a drone attack that killed and wounded Belarusians, saying the army did not employ unmanned aerial vehicles against targets in Russia\u2019s Bryansk province when the bus was hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven people have been hospitalized, according to the latest reports, including one child in serious condition. The wife of a coach from the Re\u010dyca sports school for children has been confirmed dead.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe regard such reports as yet another information provocation orchestrated by the Kremlin,\u201d the General Staff said in a statement. \u201cUnable to achieve its declared objectives on the battlefield and suffering significant losses, the Russian Federation is increasingly resorting to information manipulation and the fabrication of accusations against Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russian and Belarus\u2019 pro-Russian officials have blamed Ukraine for the attack, while but Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja has pointed her finger at Russia, stressing that the aggressor country bears primary responsibility for every death and every injury related to its war on Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u201cMy heart goes out to all the victims and their families. The children and adults who were with them are innocent victims,\u201d the politician noted on Telegram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cichano\u016dskaja blamed officials \u201cwho irresponsibly sent children through the border zone of military operations.\u201d\u00a0 The incident was not a \u201ccoincidence,\u201d but a \u201cdeliberate decision by specific people in power who were indifferent to how the children would arrive on vacation,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian state propaganda is also responsible, as it has for years suppressed the truth about the war and Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s complicity in it, painting a false image of a \u201cpeaceful sky\u201d and security, the politician said. People will only feel safe when Russia ends the war, she stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov accused Kyiv of a \u201cdeliberate and conscious\u201d attack on the bus, which, in his opinion, \u201ccannot be confused with military equipment.\u201d \u201cThey knew exactly what they were doing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus\u2019 pro-government Bie\u0142aja Ru\u015b party described the incident as a \u201cdespicable and inhumane act of terrorism committed by Ukrainian armed groups against minors,\u201d demanding \u201cimmediate international condemnation of this crime.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian foreign ministry strongly condemned the strike on a civilian bus with members of a children\u2019s soccer team from the Homiel region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe regard this as yet another act of terrorism against the civilian population and demand a full explanation from the Ukrainian side,\u201d said Minsk, which supports Russia in its war against Ukraine. The foreign ministry also warned Belarusians against traveling to conflict zones, areas of hostilities and adjacent regions, stressing the need to strictly follow procedures for organizing group travel abroad, especially for children\u2019s health and recreation trips.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
