June 15, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The European Union has sanctioned AAT Izovac (OOO Izovac), a Belarus-based company, for \u201cmaterially supporting Russia\u2019s military and industrial complex,\u201d the Official Journal of the EU says<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Izavak, specializing in vacuum coating technologies and related software, is represented in Russia by its partner LLC Engineering Group, which has also been sanctioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Izovac has supplied $200\u202fmillion worth of goods to Russian defense contractors since the start of Russia\u2019s full-scale war on Ukraine in February 2022, the document noted, confirming conclusions of last year\u2019s report by the Belarusian Investigative Center (BIC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company is little known to the general public, yet its customers reportedly included tech giants such as Apple, Tesla and Samsung. Touch screens for iPhone and iPad were originally manufactured using Izava\u0441\u2019s equipment, according to the World Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2022, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine in which the Belarusian authorities supported the Kremlin, allowing Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarus on multiple occasions and supplying arms to Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
