May 22, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>The leader of Belarus\u2019 BelPol exiled intelligence group argued for tougher sanctions on the Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka regime at a forum in Vilnius on May 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the Congress on Political Prisoners in Belarus, U\u0142adzimir \u017dyhar of BelPol appealed to the European Union: \u201cIf you want to resolve problems in your countries with your borders and migrants, stop drone incursions, ensure security, stop saboteurs, stop your neighbor from threatening war against you, if you want to help Ukraine, so definitely, you must solve the \u0141uka\u0161enka problem.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BelPol specializes in gathering intelligence on Belarus\u2019 role in supporting Russia\u2019s war machine and companies and individuals that circumvent EU sanctions. He pointed out that BelPol has volumes of evidence against culprits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In reply to a question from Pozirk<\/em>, he said that the EU is not doing enough to track and punish dozens of front companies used by sanctioned entities to circumvent sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere must be more sanctions in principle. The more sanctions the greater control over compliance,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
