May 19, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Belarusian satellite operator Bie\u0142intersat and BUREAU 1440, a Russian aerospace company, have signed a cooperation agreement at a conference in Russia\u2019s Nizhny Novgorod, says statement by Bie\u0142intersat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement covers access to satellite communication services provided via a Russian low-Earth orbit satellite constellation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parties agreed to test and integrate satellite broadband services into Bie\u0142intersat information systems, as well as to develop and expand a network of partners and customers across Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn the long term, our cooperation with BUREAU 1440 will help reduce the digital divide and provide new momentum for the development of Belarus\u2019 regions,\u201d said Aleh Viniarski, Bie\u0142intersat\u2019s technical director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He described the cooperation as \u201ca foundation for developing shared technological sovereignty\u201d with Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
