May 4, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja has thanked Romanian President Nicu\u0219or Dan for keeping Belarus on the European agenda at a meeting on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Armenia’s Yerevan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am grateful for Romania\u2019s consistent support for Belarusians,” she said on X. “Strong partnerships like this are essential for building a more secure and united Europe.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opposition leader’s press service also published photos with European Council President Ant\u00f3nio Costa, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, the prime ministers of Albania, the Czech Republic and Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sibiha, the politician expressed concern about Minsk\u2019s military buildup, stressing the need for keeping up pressure on the regime \u201cto prevent Belarus from becoming a military outpost.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A secure Europe must include a free Belarus that contributes to stability and peace, Cichano\u016dskaja\u00a0told NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
