April 9, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>An anti-aircraft missile unit is currently conducting tactical exercises under the leadership of Andrej Sieviaryn\u010dyk, in charge of the missile forces, the defense ministry\u2019s press office reported yesterday, without specifying an exact location. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Servicemen are redeploying to new positions and conducting drills to repel simulated air attacks, using coordinated operations between Tor-M2 missile systems and mobile fire groups to protect key facilities and troops, it noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The unit demonstrated high effectiveness in engaging targets of all types, as well as strong mobility, allowing it to protect not only stationary facilities but also troops on the move,Sieviaryn\u010dyk said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAbout 2,000 personnel are currently on combat duty, ensuring airspace protection along the state borders,\u201d he added. \u201cThese include crews from radio-technical forces, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units and military air defense.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian army is frequently conducting drills amid tensions with the West and Russia\u2019s full-scale war against Ukraine, in which Minsk supports Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
