March 10, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Belarus saw a 0.6-percent rise in consumer prices in February, the National Statistical Committee (Bie\u0142stat) reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, food prices climbed by 0.8 percent, while non-food prices and services increased by 0.2 and 0.7 percent, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consumer prices have increased by 1 percent since the start of 2026, driven mainly by a 1.4-percent rise in food prices and services. Non-food goods rose by 0.3 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, the government was expecting inflation to slow down to 5 percent, yet it stood at 6.8 percent following 5.2 percent reported in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, inflation is not expected to exceed 7 percent, according to the key economic targets for 2026 that Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka approved last November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
