February 21, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Belarusian athletes failed to win a single medal at the Winter Olympics for the first time since 1994. The Games will draw to a close in Italy\u2019s Milano and Cortina on February 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skier Hanna Karalova placed 34th in the women\u2019s 2×10 km skiathlon, 48th in the 1.5 km cross-country sprint and 48th in the 10 km ski cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speed skater Maryna Zujeva finished 15th in the 3,000 m and sixth in the 5,000 m, the team\u2019s best result. On February 21, she failed to qualify for the mass start final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viktoryja Safonava did not advance to the figure skating final, finishing 26th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freestyler Hanna Hu\u015bkova, the 2018 Olympic champion and 2022 silver medalist, placed eighth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anastasija Andryjanava and Hanna Dziaruha finished 16th and 17th, respectively, and did not advance to the final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maryja \u0160kanava placed 37th after her second slalom run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian athletes were admitted as neutral participants because of the country\u2019s involvement in Russia\u2019s war of aggression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
