January 20, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has signed a document on Belarus’ accession to the Board of Peace for Gaza, Pul Pervogo<\/em>, his press office’s unofficial Telegram channel reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian ruler followed the procedure outlined in a letter from US President Donald Trump, which invited Belarus to act as a founder of the Board of Peace for Gaza, the Belarusian foreign ministry said yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ministry\u2019s spokesman Rus\u0142an Varanko\u016d described the invitation as recognition of \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s merits and authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe appreciate that the American side sees Belarus, as stated directly in the text of the appeal, as a state ready to assume the noble responsibility of building lasting peace, led by the power of example and invest in a safe and prosperous future for coming generations,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Board of Peace is part of Trump\u2019s 20-point plan to end the Israel\u2013Hamas war and is expected to temporarily oversee the administration of Gaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exact structure of the board, which will also manage Gaza\u2019s reconstruction, remains unclear. Washington reportedly invited about 50 countries to join it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
