The US Treasury published the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ofac.treasury.gov\/media\/934826\/download?inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">general license<\/a>\u00a0authorizing transactions involving the Belarusian Potash Company, potash giant Bie\u0142aruskalij and its subsidiary Agrorozkvit LLC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two weeks ago, Deividas Matulionis, the Lithuanian president\u2019s chief national security advisor, linked the potential resumption of Belarusian potash fertilizer transit to the deployment of additional US military forces in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lithuania continues to uphold sanctions against Belarus, including limits on fertilizer exports, as the circumstances that prompted their introduction have not changed, Naus\u0117da stressed today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the US imposed sanctions on Bie\u0142aru\u015bkalij in 2021 over allegations of human rights abuses.
