{"id":161741,"date":"2025-10-27T13:26:16","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T10:26:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/161741\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"vola-faction-withdraws-from-coordination-council","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/161741\/","title":{"rendered":"Vola faction withdraws from Coordination Council"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>October 27, <em>Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The Vola (Liberty) faction has taken to Telegram to announce that it is leaving the opposition Coordination Council (CC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision might be linked to a lie-detector raw that prompted two Vola members to suspend their participation in the proto-parliament\u2019s activities last week in protest against the body\u2019s failure to adopt rules requiring mandatory lie-detector tests for members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vola said that it will function independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, registered voters elected six Vola members to the CC: Alaksandar Kabana\u016d, Hienad\u017a Ma\u0144ko, Siarhiej Piatruchin, Karyna Malino\u016dskaja, Maksim Dzienisievi\u010d and Alaksandar K\u0142a\u010dko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Coordination Council has encountered some challenges and disputes recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On October 26, prominent TV host Alaksandar Knyrovi\u010d and lawyer Volha Karpu\u0161onak announced that they were suspending their participation in the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CC had failed to reach a quorum on the lie-detector proposal. Only 21 of 77 delegates took part in the vote, with 17 approving it. They represented the following factions: Independent Belarusians, European Choice, Vola, Team \u0141atu\u0161ka and Movement for Freedom and Down with Fear!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 27, Pozirk.
