October 13, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has confirmed the appointment of new CEOs at three major Belarusian industrial enterprises, instructing them to \u201csalvage\u201d the companies, according to state-run media reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrej Sojka will head the tire manufacturer Bie\u0142\u0161yna, Aleh Kurylin will take charge of the Mahilo\u016dchimva\u0142akno chemical plant, and Vital \u0160eleh will lead the Homselma\u0161 agricultural machinery producer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sojka previously worked at the Bie\u0142aru\u015bkalij potash giant, where he oversaw social policy matters. Kurylin managed Mahilo\u016dchimva\u0142akno\u2019s commercial operations, while \u0160eleh served as director of the Minsk Gear Plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other reshuffles approved by \u0141uka\u0161enka, Nadzieja \u0141azarevi\u010d, former first deputy chairwoman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, will replace Ta\u0107ciana \u0141unhina as head of the Bie\u0142\u0142ehpram light industry concern. \u0141unhina, in turn, has been appointed CEO of the Minsk-based textile producer Kamvol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka also appointed Dzianis Duk, a member of the Central Election Commission, as rector of the Academy of Public Administration, and Siarhiej \u0160\u010darbako\u016d as deputy chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alaksandar Kamendant has been confirmed as first deputy chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee. Additionally, \u0141uka\u0161enka approved five deputy ministers, along with four new heads of district executive committees in the Homiel region and three in the Hrodna region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
