One liter of diesel fuel costs up to \u20ac1.6 in Lithuania and about \u20ac0.7 in Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We decided that we can counter this by limiting the amount of diesel fuel imported in tanks. This measure is similar to the one used by our neighbors in Poland and Latvia,&#8221; said Lithuanian Finance Minister Kristupas Vaitiek\u016bnas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister added that this restriction could be useful for trucks with a tank capacity of 1 ton or 1.5 ton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since March 12, truck drivers will have to declare the amount of fuel in their tanks when entering Lithuania from Belarus and Russia and on their way back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarusian and Russian truckers have been reportedly illegally siphoning fuel for its subsequent resale while transiting via Lithuania. Up to 1,000 liters of diesel fuel can be sold in this way from an average-sized truck on the black market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/ru\/news\/128178\/\">Lithuania to require truck drivers to produce fuel declaration starting March 12<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 8, Pozirk.
