{"id":157223,"date":"2025-09-26T12:04:27","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T09:04:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/157223\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"kremlin-expands-influence-campaign-in-belarus-to-justify-war-against-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/157223\/","title":{"rendered":"Kremlin expands influence campaign in Belarus to justify war against Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>September 26, <em>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> The Belarusian culture ministry and the National Library of Belarus helped Russia organize the documentary film festival \u201cRT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes\u201d in Minsk, Yuri Makushin of Rossotrudnichestvo told journalists yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rossotrudnichestvo is a major Russian agency for international cooperation, acting as a Russian soft power institution to promote the Kremlin\u2019s policies and disseminate narratives justifying Russian war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Russian House in Minsk and the Rosssotrudnichestvo Belarus office work towards conveying &#8220;the most objective and truthful information to Belarusians about what is happening in Donbas and in the historical regions of Russia,\u201d Makushin claimed, referring to occupied Ukrainian territories. The information campaign focuses on the Russian presentation of the reasons, course and goals of war, the official added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere is a lot of fake news . . .&nbsp; That&#8217;s why we have been cooperating fruitfully with <em>RT<\/em> [Russia Today propaganda TV channel] for a long time and showing documentaries,\u201d he said, noting that today and tomorrow the National Library of Belarus will show six films about Russians fighting against Ukraine and the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. These films were reportedly made with the participation of Belarusians, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In February 2022, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine in which the Belarusian authorities supported the Kremlin, allowing Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarus on multiple occasions, supplying arms to Moscow and treating wounded Russian soldiers.
