September 10, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Jacek Goryszewski, spokesman for the Polish Armed Forces\u2019 Operational Command, has told a briefing that the military had exchanged information with both Ukraine and Belarus during the drone incursion overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goryszewski said that contacts were nothing out of the ordinary, noting that the states cooperate when it comes to airspace security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that Poland had also exchanged information with NATO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lieutenant colonel confirmed that Poles were constantly receiving information and exchanging it with their neighbors using bilateral channels. He pointed out that the Russian UAVs had been spotted at a border junction between three countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This morning, Poland reported a massive incursion by drones, the first one in three and a half years of Russia\u2019s full-scale aggression against Ukraine. One residential building was reported damaged. According to Ukrainian monitoring channels, some of the drones overflew Belarus\u2019 Brest region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian General Staff chief, Pavie\u0142 Muraviejka, said that Belarusian forces had exchanged information on the \u201cair and radar situation\u201d with Poland and Lithuania overnight. \u201cIn doing so, they alerted them to the approach of unknown aircraft to their countries’ territory,\u201d the major general stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Muraviejka, the communication allowed Poland to quickly respond to UAV maneuvers by scrambling its duty forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement, Russia\u2019s military said that last night it carried out \u201ca mass strike\u201d on military-industrial targets in Western Ukraine, including with attack drones, BBC<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It added that \u201cthere had been no plans to target facilities on the territory of Poland.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incursion came days before the Belarusian-Russian military maneuvers, Zapad-2025, scheduled for September 12-16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced his decision to close the border with Belarus in connection with the exercise, which he described as \u201caggressive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
