September 10, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Warsaw is determined to react firmly after Russian drones were destroyed over the territory of a NATO member state, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has told Polish MPs and called for \u201cthe full mobilization\u201d of the West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that 19 drones flew into Poland overnight, many of them from Belarus, with three or four drones shot down. A significant number of the drones arrived from the Belarusian direction, unlike in earlier cases when stray drones flew in from Ukraine under attack from Russia, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere is no reason to say that we are at war today. But there is no doubt that this provocation goes beyond the limits of previous ones and is incomparably more dangerous for Poland than all the others,\u201d Tusk stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Russian-Belarusian Zapad-2025 drill, scheduled to start tomorrow near the European Union’s borders, will test the bloc’s resilience, he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poland has a political enemy beyond its eastern border that makes no secret of its hostile intentions, he said, noting that Russia’s aggressive intentions and Belarus’ aggressive daily practices leave no room for doubt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drone incursions into Poland started at around 11:30 pm yesterday and lasted throughout the night until 6.45 am. Polish authorities temporarily closed airports in Warsaw, Modlin, Rzesz\u00f3w and Lublin. No casualties were reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus\u2019 defense ministry said this morning that its air defense forces had been in contact with Polish and Lithuanian counterparts to track stray drones and warn of approaching unidentified aircraft. It added that the Belarusian Air\/Air Defense Forces shot down some of the drones, but would not specify their country of origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
