{"id":143755,"date":"2025-06-23T13:32:16","date_gmt":"2025-06-23T10:32:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/143755\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"belarus-hosted-38-russia-ukraine-pow-swaps-tertel","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/143755\/","title":{"rendered":"Belarus hosted 38 Russia-Ukraine PoW swaps \u2013 Tertel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>June 23, <em>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Belarus has hosted 38 exchanges of prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine, Ivan Tertel, head of the Belarusian Committee for State Security (KGB), told a state-run TV station in an interview broadcast yesterday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first exchange on September 21, 2022, Russia released 215 Ukrainian soldiers for pro-Russian Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk and 55 Russian soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sides have been exchanging prisoners of war, civilians, children, as well as wounded soldiers and bodies of those killed in action, the KGB chief said, noting that Minsk would not to comment on the swaps until recently.
