June 13, <\/strong>Pozirk.<\/strong> <\/em>Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has pledged to advance Chinese interests in Belarus, stressing its convenient geographical location in the center of Europe as he met \u00a0Zhang Qingwei in charge of a Chinese parliamentary delegation visiting Minsk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this month, the Belarusian ruler travelled to China to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Shortly after returning from Beijing, he unveiled the national soccer stadium in Minsk, noting China\u2019s contributions to its construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few days ago, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ry\u017eanko\u016d said that Belarus’ trade with China exceeded trade with the European Union. Four years ago, the balance was in favor of the EU, he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian-Chinese trade may be twice as high as trade with the EU this year, he said, without citing any specific numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
