June 4, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarus’ relations with Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are on the right track, Prime Minister Alaksandar Tur\u010dyn said today during bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the Central Asian states, according to the Belarusian cabinet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During negotiations with Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, Tur\u010dyn said setting up joint ventures was a basis for advancing the two nations’ economic interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Cooperation between the two countries is characterized by the dynamic development of trade and economic relations,” the Belarusian premier said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Last year, we achieved good results. The volume of bilateral trade exceeded $168 million, which allowed our country to enter Tajikistan’s top 10 main foreign trade partners.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a meeting with Kazakh Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov, Tur\u010dyn called industry and production “the key vector” of cooperation between Minsk and Astana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I see joint efforts to increase the positive dynamics in trade as our main task in the very near future,” the official emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Bektenov, trade between Belarus and Kazakhstan amounted to $900 million last year. “In the first quarter of 2025, the trade turnover reached $200 million. The potential is huge. We have room for improvement,” Bektenov stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trade between Belarus and the Commonwealth of Independent States reached $17.41 billion in the first third of 2025 (+0.3 percent y\/y): exports amounted to $8.89 billion and imports to $8.53 billion, with a positive balance of $353.9 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
