April 30, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The situation at the Belarusian-Ukrainian border and in Belarus remains threatening since Russia may try using it again, said Andrii Demchenko, a spokesman for the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He told Ukrinform <\/em>that Ukrainian troops did not detect any strike group near the border and that the Russian units in Belarus were not enough to threaten Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The border guards continued to monitor the situation as Belarus kept supporting Russia, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, he did not rule out that Russia may launch new attacks from Belarus, taking advantage of a joint exercise scheduled for September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 13,000 troops would take part in Zapad-2025. Kyiv repeatedly warned its allies that Russia might attack Poland, Lithuania or Latvia, not just Ukraine, from Belarusian territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
