February 16, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Russian President Vladimir Putin clearly views Belarus just as a province of his country, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the Munich Security Conference (MSC) yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Presidential Office streamed his speech on YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zelensky cited reliable intelligence indicating that Russia plans to deploy its troops to Belarus under the disguise of military exercises this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He compared the upcoming deployment to preparations for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine three years ago. Is it aimed against Ukraine or NATO, he asked, reminding the audience that Belarus borders three members of the military alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that Belarus is hosting prohibited weapons, such as medium-range missiles and nuclear arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also said that Europe\u2019s \u201csecurity line\u201d should be at the eastern borders of Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic states and Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 24, 2022, the Russian troops that were in Belarus for the Allied Resolve-2022 exercise invaded Ukraine instead of going back to their bases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minsk has supported Russia\u2019s aggression. At its early stage, Belarusian territory was used for a ground offensive and missile strikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the fall, Minsk and Moscow plan to hold the Zapad-2025 military exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
