February 6, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>The district executive committee heads are responsible \u201cfor management in all areas, including the private business,\u201d Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has told officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOtherwise, we\u2019ll end up with the fact that the private sector is not [linked to] the state at all,\u201d the Belarusian ruler’s press office quoted him as saying. “Meanwhile, we rely on the private sector. Its role, especially in production, will also be increased. Therefore, the chairmen of the district executive committee should manage, command and bear responsibility equally for both private and public sectors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis applies first and foremost to personnel management,” he added. “No one should get away from it by babbling about some kind of liberalism.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka made it clear that he had submitted a bill to the lower house to expand local executive officials\u2019 powers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
