January 6, Pozirk. <\/em><\/strong>Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka did not apologize to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for missile strikes from Belarusian territory in 2022, his spokeswoman Natalla Ejsmant has told rbc.ru<\/em>, commenting on <\/em>recent Zelensky\u2019s interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ukrainian leader said he had\u00a0a phone conversation with \u0141uka\u0161enka after the start of Russia\u2019s full-scale war on Ukraine, where the latter apologized for missile strikes on Ukraine from Belarus and blamed Vladimir Putin for the attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus has nothing to apologize for, Ejsmant claimed, adding that Ukraine was \u201cthe first to impose sanctions against Belarus, being even ahead of America and the entire West.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka is convinced that Zelensky’s policies caused the conflict with Russia, she said. \u201cIf he [Zelensky] had listened less to his Western mentors and followed the interests of his people, this war could have been avoided,\u201d Ejsmant said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2022, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine in which the Belarusian authorities supported the Kremlin, allowing Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarus on multiple occasions and supplying arms to Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
