December 30, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Poland has extended a simplified procedure for the issuance travel documents to Belarusians until June 30, 2025, the Polish government said on its website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian opposition United Transitional Cabinet announced the extension on December 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The simplified procedure was introduced by two resolutions of the Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MIA) on July 1, 2023. One of them exempts Belarusians from paying fees for the travel documents. The other one expands the circle of immigrants who can apply for them and releases them from the obligation to prove that they cannot obtain documents in Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May 2024, the Belarusian Solidarity Center reported that the MIA was likely to extend the validity of the document from one to three years. At that time, more than 130,000 Belarusians were living in Poland with valid permits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
