December 10, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>One year after the international federation suspendedthe Belarusian Red Cross (BRC) over pro-war statements of its chairman, another BRC official has posted contentious remarks in her Instagram account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A\u0142a Smalak, head of the BRC\u2019s Homiel branch, has welcomed the Belarusian ruler\u2019s request that Russia deploy Oreshnik intermediate ballistic missiles in Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Belarus pursues a peaceful policy, no action against the country or its Union State with Russia will remain without an adequate response, she said, accusing NATO of a buildup near her country\u2019s borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Washington intends to start deploying long-range strike systems in Germany in 2026. I am talking about SM-6 multipurpose missiles, Tomahawk cruise missiles and experimental hypersonic weapons. The US and German governments have already reached this agreement,” Smalak said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the BRC official, these plans raise the level of military and political tension and pose a threat to both Belarus and the Union State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“And the response to such steps by Germany and the United States is the decision to deploy the Russian Oreshnik system in the territory of Belarus,” Smalak added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moscow has not made a decision to deploy Oreshnik yet, but there is much talk about the new weapon. Alaksandar Lukashenka asked Russia to deploy the system during the Union State supreme council meeting on December 6. Russian President Vladimir Putin said he will be happy to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
