November 30, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian independent outlets yesterday reported numerous trials staged for online reposts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 14 and 27, judges tried Re\u010dyca-based Georgian Cyra Pryjma for circulating extremist information, a minor offense. The verdict is unknown. Law enforcers threatened her with deportation for the alleged wrongdoing. Her husband Vasil Pryjma was tried on the same charge on November 27, a pro-government source<\/em> and Flagshtok<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 25 and 29, the Va\u016dkavysk District Court tried local resident Alaksandar Siezie\u0144 for circulating extremist information. The verdict is unknown. Siezie\u0144 was arrested on November 13 and placed in a detention center. Officers searched his apartment. Siezie\u0144 has appealed the detention, Pravo Imeyut<\/em> and Grodnenskaya Pravozashchita<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, a district court in Hrodna considered an “extremist content” case against Alaksiej \u010camadana\u016d, founder of the Run4Fun school and club. The details are unknown, Grodnenskaya Pravozashchita<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 28, judges in the Viciebsk region considered at least five such cases. Viktoryja Stulba was tried in the Lepel district, Juryj Kaval in the Navapo\u0142ack district, Alaksiej Firsa\u016d in Viciebsk’s Akciabarski district, and Valancina Muchina and Ja\u016dhien Harmaza\u016d in the city’s Pier\u0161amajski district. The verdicts are unknown, Viciebsk, Ya Gulyayu!<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 29, the Or\u0161a District Court considered an extremist content case against Or\u0161a resident Alena \u010carnavin, who also praised the Russian army on social media and supported the war in Ukraine, Viciebsk, Ya Gulyayu! <\/em>reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of that, Krasnapolle resident Alaksandar Kireje\u016d was sentenced to a year in prison for allegedly insulting the head of state. The Mahilo\u016d Regional Court rejected his appeal against sentence, Mayday.Team<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Law enforcers arrested an unnamed administrator of the Belarusians in Olsztyn chat, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported. It also said that at least 19 foreigners have been sentenced to a combined total of 135 years in prison in recent years on spying charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian Association of Journalists<\/em> and Pozirk<\/em> report that law enforcers and propagandists threatened to rigorously search and interrogate the family of journalist Mikita Mie\u0142kaziora\u016d because of his criticism of Soviet statesman Panteleimon Ponomarenko. Propagandist Kiry\u0142 Kazako\u016d called for Mie\u0142kaziora\u016d’s execution. The journalist refused to speak with the media about the developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also yesterday, Belarusian officials added 22 people to the list of persons “involved in extremist activity.” They are: Alaksiej Ku\u017aniaco\u016d, Andrej Savicki, Alena Taparkova, Via\u010das\u0142a\u016d Maroza\u016d, Ksienija Su\u0161a, Valeryj Tka\u010do\u016d, Le\u016d I\u016d\u010dyn, Natalla Jan\u010danka, Ihar Parchomienka, Alaksiej Ha\u0142ynia, Ja\u016dhien Vie\u0441iarec, Dyjana Sinia\u016dskaja, Aleh Sinia\u016dski, Siarhiej Minin, Alaksandar Krupnika\u016d, Pavie\u0142 Ivano\u016d, Maksim Niabo\u017eyn, Maryna Hacura, Alena Bobr, \u017danna Da\u0161kievi\u010d, Alina Chmiale\u016dskaja and Alaksandar Sa\u0142aducha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, human rights groups declared 10 people political prisoners: U\u0142adzis\u0142a\u016d Navary\u010d, Artur Tru\u0161ko, Vadzim Kutasievi\u010d, Alaksandar Nikicin, Anton Bu\u0142ach, Ludmi\u0142a \u0160\u010damialova and Ihar Ryma\u0161e\u016dski (an artist couple), Stanis\u0142a\u016d Dubo\u016dski, Maksim Sandraku\u0142a and Juryj \u0141aviecki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of November 30, human rights defenders identified at least 1,296 political prisoners but the real number is considerably higher because many cases go undocumented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian authorities filed 7,400 politically-motivated criminal cases in the four years since the August 2020 presidential election, Viasna reported in mid-October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
