November 20, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> During a new stage of an exercise supervised by Inerior Minister Ivan Kubrako\u016d, law enforcers have learned what to do if the operational situation deteriorates during the election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In particular, they focused on blocking roads, stopping group violations of public order, detaining participants in unauthorized rallies and criminals who seized emergency vehicles, the interior ministry reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Today we worked through episodes that occurred in our republic in 2020, as well as those that took place in other countries. In our land, it all started with something as banal as queues at polling stations,” Kubrako\u016d said. According to him, they were artificially created to gather people and then lead them to central streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Four years ago, protesters tried to seize weapons and threw Molotov cocktails at our units,” he claimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, security forces practiced algorithms for preventing violations at polling stations. Authorities tested the readiness of police officers and officials to act in emergency situations, such as attacks on members of election commissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kubrako\u016d said such drills were taking place across the country. They were designed to address worst-case scenarios after the ministry analyzed the events of 2020, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
