October 7, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian-Russian trade exceeded $34 billion in the first eight months of 2024, Belarusian Ambassador Alaksandar Raho\u017enik has said. This is a year-on-year increase of 8.2 percent, according to Pozirk<\/em>‘s calculations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The state media quoted the Belarusian ambassador to Russia as saying that exports rose 4 percent in that period. Trade surplus expanded by 4 percent to $0.5 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pozirk<\/em> compared the diplomat’s data with figures released today by the National Statistical Committee (Bie\u0142stat) and concluded that Russia accounted for 60 percent of Belarus’ goods trade, which exceeded $56.2 billion last year. Russia accounted for 63 percent of Belarusian exports and 58 percent of imports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bie\u0142stat has not disclosed a breakdown by country and category in the last three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
