September 30, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> By designating the Kastu\u015b Kalino\u016dski Regiment (KKR) a terrorist organization, Belarusian authorities have encroached on the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the volunteer unit said in a statement yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian Supreme Court designated the KKR a terrorist organization on September 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alaksandar Karpovi\u010d, a prosecutor, accused KKR members of plotting terrorist attack on Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KKR said its fight will continue despite the designation. “Shoulder to shoulder with our Ukrainian brothers, we keep fighting for our freedom and yours,” the statement reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also released footage of its former commander Dzianis Prochara\u016d’s interview with the 1+1<\/em> television channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Kalino\u016dski regiment is a legal formation of Belarusian volunteers \u2013 official members of the AFU,” Prochara\u016d said. “It is part of the AFU.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, if Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka calls the regiment terrorist, he sees the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As long as the \u0141uka\u0161enka regime and \u0141uka\u0161enka himself are around, there is always a threat for Ukraine that an attack on Kyiv could be repeated from the Belarusian border. I want all Ukrainians to understand this,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KKR called on supporters to join a fundraiser for electronic warfare equipment that would help Belarusian volunteers to fight more effectively and safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 25, the regiment attributed the designation to Minsk’s hostile plans and loyalty to Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“For its turn, the Kastu\u015b Kalino\u016dski Regiment recognizes the \u0141uka\u0161enka regime as a ‘terrorist organization.’ This also goes for anyone involved in violence and repression against the Belarusian people. We will continue our struggle until the full liberation of Belarus,” the KKR said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
