bills to denounce customs agreements with Belarus and Russia, the government\u2019s press office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTaking into account the continuing unprecedented military aggression by Russia and its accomplice Belarus against Ukraine and flagrant violations of international law, as well as the fact that cross-border trade and economic cooperation with these aggressor states has been completely suspended and impossible in practice, the decision has been made to denounce the agreements,\u201d Finance Minister Gintar\u0117 Skaist\u0117 said. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lithuanian customs have not cooperated with their Belarusian and Russian counterparts and have not exchanged information since the start of Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the press office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It added that the agreements on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters \u201cdo not make big practical sense\u201d because Lithuania is a member of the European Union and customs matters are jurisdiction of the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreements would be terminated six months after the other party is notified of denunciation through diplomatic channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month, Lithuanian President Gitanas Naus\u0117da proposed terminating an investment promotion agreement signed by the governments of Lithuania and Belarus in March 1999, a similar deal with Russia signed in June 1999, as well as a tax treaty with Russia signed the same year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lithuanian parliament gave its preliminary approval on
